Worlds Collide is a small campaign to get the hang of One Page Rules. Factions from Age of Fantasy and Grimdark Future are both allowed to participate.

Background

[edit | edit source]

When Mallus, the World-That-Was met its tragic demise at the hands of Archaon the Everchosen and the unrelenting hoards of Chaos, all was destroyed... or so it was thought. Through the endless scheming of the Changeling- the agent of Tzeentch enacted his Ultimate Prank.

Tzeentch is gonna love this one!

Space. Time. The barriers between dimensions. All collapsed on one another, as the Changeling sundered the fabric of reality in two.

In this new reality the fragments of Mallus (still containing inhabitants of the old world) were cast into the 41st millennium. In some cases these fragments would find themselves transposed onto worlds, moons, and occasionally even warships across the galaxy. Other times, the massive chunks of land would fall into the gravitational well of planetary bodies, eventually crashing down in a brilliant hail of meteorites. Few inhabitants of the World-That-Was survived such violent firestorms (though perhaps unsurprisingly, Orcs didn't seem to fare too badly).

The races of Mallus fought bitter wars against their new neighbors as they learned to grow accustomed to their new situation. The Wood Elves sought new sanctuaries, while Lizardmen sought to re-connect with their distant kin. Skaven generally just had an all-around good time.

In the grimdark future of the 41 millennium... Skryre technology continues to fail at an alarming rate.

Though their presence is still small in the grand scheme of the galaxy, the displaced races of the old world have begun to demand the attention of their neighbors as they establish themselves as potential threats.

Campaign Structure

[edit | edit source]

The campaign takes place in the Balius System.

Scoring Campaign Victory Points: Participants play missions against each other. The winning player is allowed to take 1 region from the losing player.

In a mission where one player triumphs over multiple players, they take 1 region from each player. In a mission where multiple players defeat a single player, each victorious player can take one region from the defeated party- starting with the player that scored the highest.

At a set interval (TBD), players will passively gain Victory Points equal to the number of regions they control.

Warbands: Each player begins the campaign with 150pts to spend on their warband (up to 30pts of that can be saved to spend later). Upon completing a mission, the winning warband gains 2VP and 20pts. The losing warband gains 40pts instead.

  • Recruiting New Units: Players may recruit one new hero after each mission, but may only have 3 heroes in their warband at once. Players may recruit as many non-Hero units as they want following a mission. One of the newly recruited units may start with 5XP if the player adds spends an extra 10pts to recruit them.
  • Death: When a unit dies, they are removed from the warband and their cost is refunded to the player. Any XP and upgrades the unit had acquired are lost.

Missions, Points, Special Rules: Players decide which missions they want to play, how many points they want to play, and whether they want to use any special rules found in the advanced rulebooks. Matches can be run in Grimdark Future, GF Firefight, Age of Fantasy, AoF Skirmish, or even GF: Warfleets. They can be 1v1, 2v1, 3 player free-for-alls, etc. The only hard rule is that a mission should end with a region changing hands.

Running out of Territory: Players can continue to play missions while out of territory. If they are victorious in a mission, they seize regions as described above.
